In the fall of 2024, Wright was invited by curator jaye simpson to exhibit their pre-existing work in the display window of Massy Arts Society in the Downtown East Side.
The resulting exhibition “I Have Begun Making Myself” featured two sculpture works of Wrights that spoke to how the process of making informs connection to culture and identity. The exhibition was up from November 15, 2024-December 16th, 2024, and was one of the last three exhibitions to share Massy Arts Societies space before they regretfully closed their doors. Wright is extremely grateful to have been able to have shown at this amazing organization.
